Fantasy League update: week 8

Posted by Seb Duggan on

Nearly half-way through the season, and the top of the table is currently a Le-Clercq 1-2-3. With the best-performing team of the week, Mark maintains his number 1 spot, while Lewis leapfrogs Spencer into 2nd place. Still a long way to go, though...

Top performance of the week was from Pete Grennan, with 67 runs and two catches, closely followed by Garin Chapman, who posted his club best of 4-21 with the ball. Third this week was Turns, with a typically miserly 2 wicket spell and 25 with the bat.

Posted by Seb Duggan on

The league season is now under way, which means that the first round of Fantasy Cricket results are in!

An early lead has been taken by birthday boy Spencer, closely followed by defending champion Kevin. The rest of the field trail some way behind, but with the new scoring system things can change very quickly!

Fantasy Cricket 2017 is now open!

Posted by Seb Duggan on

With apologies for the short notice, the 2017 Fantasy Cricket competition is now up and running!

The point-scoring system has undergone a big change for this season, so make sure you look at the rules carefully! What the new rules mean is that every run counts, and a good batting performance should compare favourably to a good bowling performance. There are also now points on offer for economic bowling, even if you don’t take any wickets.

Another change is that you can now make up to 4 transfers over the course of the season, so you can now easily get rid of that injured/out-of-form player...

The league season is nearly upon us, so if you want your team to be eligible for the first fixture of the season, please get your entries to Seb by midnight on Friday 5th May (that’s this Friday!).
