Congratulations to Robert Gibson, who has recently won 'Best One-Off Performance' at the Portsmouth News Sports Awards!

Robert won his award for producing a stunning all round performance playing for Hampshire Under 16s against Somerset Under 16s on the Nursery Ground at the Rose Bowl last season, where he proceeded to hit a brilliant unbeaten 201, including a six and 24 fours before then running through the Somerset batting order, taking five for 65 with his leg-spin.

Well done Rob!

Hambledon U13’s have retained the South Eats Hants 6-a-side indoor league. The team have gone through the winter unbeaten, with 8 wins and 1 tied match. It was a truly a team performance with 14 players representing Hambledon, and 6 players totalling 50 runs in the 9 games.

On Sunday 27th March the team played an exhibition match against a league select team before being presented with the league trophy. Against a very strong league select team, Hambledon set a good total of 136 for 1 in their 12 overs, with Charlie Boyd, Rory Morris and Finlay Rockett retiring on 20 not out. Hew Richards and Finlay took 2 early wickets which removed 2 very dangerous batsmen before a superb caught and bowled by Charlie Boyd and some tight bowling by James Toogood pressed home this advantage to leave the league select team 8 runs short.

Full squad included Charle Boyd, Rory Morris, Charlie Thompson, Finlay Rockett, Hew Richards, James Toogood, Will Hardman, Alec Younger, Tim Coleman, Andrew Broadley, Jack Thistlewayte, George Cowlrick, Charlie Gale and Tom Toogood.
