Cricket ForceĀ morning: Sunday AprilĀ 3rd from 10am to 11-30am

Posted by Mark Le-Clercq on

Hambledon are calling all members to help get the ground ready for the 2016 campaign.

The annual Cricket Force morning takes place on Sunday 3rd April from 10am to 11-30am, with plenty of odd jobs to be done.

The working party will begin at 10am and no skills are required, so please spare a couple of hours to help your club.

Hambledon will provide materials and hot and cold drinks, with the jobs including the positioning of advertising boards, boundary rope, wooden benches, sightscreens, brushing the nets and assembling the covers.

As the old Chinese proverb says: 'many hands make light work'.

Thank you!

Christmas Presentation Dinner & Dance

Posted by Ian Turner on

Saturday 10th December 2016

I know it's a long way off although it comes round quickly and these things have to be booked well in advance.

Christmas Dinner/Presentation/Party at Petersfield Golf Club on Saturday 10th December 2016 7pm for 7:30 sit down. This is for other halves too, so bring your fine ladies!

We will all meet there for 7ish ready for our sit down meal, this will be followed by the presentation of all the player awards. Then we can all hit the dance floor or the bar or both of course!

For a three course meal with all the entertainment it costs £29 per person which is a bargain. Need a deposit of £10 ASAP.

To make things easier during the course of the season I'm more than happy to collect monies off people if they want to pay a couple of quid a week or whatever is convenient. It will be noted in a book, if you go over the £29 that doesn't matter I can still collect and give it back to you just before the do then you'll have "beer money".

Please please make an effort to attend it will be something that could then take place every year and I am certain it will be a fab evening.

All from the club are welcome although only awards from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI's will be presented, as the colts have their own award event. Under 16's attending will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult!

Please get in touch with Ian Turner via Facebook / email or phone to book your places or if you have any questions.

I will post menu details very soon.

Thanks,
Ian

New website launched!

Posted by Seb Duggan on

If you're reading this, you've probably already noticed that things have changed quite a lot around here...

After a lot of hard work, I'm happy finally to be able to reveal the redesigned website. There are still more features to be added, and they'll arrive in the next few months, but for now you have:

  • A simpler, more user-friendly design
  • Responsive, so it will work nicely on your phone or tablet
  • Improved admin tools (for those that care!)

I'm open to suggestions for further improvements and features, so please drop me a line if you have any comments (or if you find a bug!)...

Also, if you were previously an admin user, you'll need a new admin login, so please get in touch and I'll get it sorted.
